These criticisms may seem trivial and may not be quite so noticeable in print, but in audio, they are glaring and distracting. There are other similar flaws, especially grammatical, that should not pepper the language of the narrator nor of sophisticated characters, especially Prince in the books in which he appears. Dark needs to learn how to use a thesaurus and create a vocabulary style for each character that is distinctive and appropriate for that character. There wouldn't be a problem if it were a quirk of a single character, but for the narrator to use it as well as several other characters, just weakens the entire story. One example is both narrator and characters using the word 'sexy' multiple times in a single chapter.

Word choice often becomes downright irritating as well as repetitive, weakening the narrative. I am glad I picked these up!Įntire series needs a really good copy editorĪlthough I've enjoyed the series stories and characters, the actual writing leaves much to be desired. Nicole Poole did well with her Russian accents, though I kept hearing “RED” from the show Orange is the new black… I am have just started the last book in the series. However, it's nice to read it in order as Prince does appear in the previous books a few times. You didn’t see much of the Weston Pack in this book, so if you haven’t read the other books in this series you could read this as a stand-alone. There was some good laughs, and interesting situations. I enjoyed their chemistry, and the way she slowly got him to loosen up. I loved that he could falls for such a casual laid back woman like Kat, who to top it off is a bounty hunter! She was a kickass leading lady. Guess that’s what you get when you are an ancient one. ) *You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*Ĭharming by Dannika Dark (Audio Edition) Narrated by Nicole Poole Seven Series #6.5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Prince was always a good character, though he seemed a bit of a stuffed shirt to me. The dynamic between Kat and Nadia omg I wanted to shake the girl up and be like can't you see she loves you and just wants you to accept her for who she is and be ok with that. Everything he knows or think he knows is about to get challenged and Kat is just the wolf to show him the way. Then Kat comes in to his life and pretty much tosses him on his booty. So when that whole thing happened in that book I was almost like good reddens.

Don't get me started on Nadia that girl she needs to chill. But the way he was in Two Minutes I was so mad with him. Maybe he was like that in the other books and I just had my Charming glasses on or what. Then for me he turned in to a douche and I don't even really know why. Now I lovvvvved Prince up until Two Minutes. Kat & Charming OK so if your not familiar with this series you wouldn't understand some of what I am going to say but that's OK because this book is awesome anyways.
